Innkeepers Rose and Willie Partridge have transformed this early 19th century landmark into a modern inn while keeping the charm of the original Victorian home intact. This visually stunning inn contains 6000 square feet of spacious guest rooms and public areas with high ceilings and baseboards, hardwood floors, stained glass windows, exquisitely carved woodwork, paneled doors and tall arched windows, all of which can be found throughout the premises.

The theme of our Bed & Breakfast is "Come and pick your favorite flower from our Victorian garden." Our six guest rooms are themed in flowers and you can "visit" each guest room on our "accommodations" page which we hope will guide you in making a selection prior to your arrival.

Upon entering the inn, you will encounter our friendly and gracious service-attentive, yet unobtrusive. We are happy to provide assistance you require-from dinner reservations to advice and directions to make the most of your stay at our inn.

Then off you go to your well appointed guest room and private bath to restore your spirit in a whirlpool tub big enough for two, sit by a fire in your room, sipping something soothing with someone special or read a good book in our parlor/library where you can also catch the news and weather if you need to know what is going on. You can put on some classical music or classic rock and every kind of sound in between in our Stained Glass Lounge where you can also pick and watch a movie from our great movie library.

Finally, you awaken to our fabulous gourmet breakfast in the elegant and gracious Crystal Dining Room.

Rose had been in sales for 40 years. The first 20 was in real estate and the second 20 had been in telecommunications. When she found herself in this situation, her first question was "Schuylkill County? Where is that?" She soon found out.

Willie came here first in July 2004 to begin the new job and Rose started coming up on weekends to look things over and tour the area. They spent Labor Day weekend looking at houses and building lots on top of mountains but Rose had a secret. She had made an appointment to see a very old Victorian house in Pottsville that she had found on the internet. Her realtor was confused and wondered why she wanted to see THIS house. Rose had a suspicion that this would be a home where she could fulfill her life-long dream of becoming an innkeeper and running her own bed and breakfast inn.

As soon as she entered the front door she knew. She toured the house for an hour and was totally mesmerized by what she had just seen but was very much aware of the fact that this was "it." Two days later, Willie toured the house and the rest is history, as they say.

They started renovations to transform the house into a bed and breakfast inn at the end of January, 2005. After 7 very long months of very hard work and many stressful days, the inn officially opened on August 28, 2005.

"Becoming innkeepers and owning our own bed and breakfast inn has really been a marvelous and rewarding way to make a living, hosting people in a beautiful place that we created all on our own and making them feel welcome and relaxed," remarks Rose.

"It is really the best of all possible worlds," says Willie. "We have a new business that keeps us local and in the Inn-World." Both Rose and Willie have just folded seamlessly into the Pottsville family. "It is really more than we could have ever hoped for."
